
What is the MKC Apprenticeship Program?
At MKC, there is an opportunity for people of all backgrounds in our organization and we provide opportunities for growth of skills and knowledge at all levels. Apprentices will receive on-the-job training, technical instruction and compensation while developing skills in an entry-level agriculture career path. No background or prior experience in agriculture is needed.

Find Your Place
The MKC Apprenticeship Program currently offers three different roles in our fast-paced, teamwork-driven operation division. Learn more about each role and find the position that fits you best below!
Agriculture Equipment Operator
- An Agriculture Equipment Operator is responsible for delivering and applying agronomy products with trucks, sprayers, or spreading equipment to grower’s fields. They will operate equipment with the latest in agriculture technology. In addition, they will perform required maintenance to the equipment they operate.
CDL Driver
- A CDL Driver is responsible to drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) and support agricultural activities. This includes delivering liquids and dry mixes, delivering seed, hauling NH3 and grain. They will load agricultural products in the truck, in customer vehicles and in shuttles. In addition, they will perform required maintenance on the trucks and other equipment.
Operations Specialist
- An Operations Specialist is responsible in assisting in the agronomy, grain and feed departments of the designated location. Duties include pick-up and delivery of fertilizer equipment, loading fertilizer with proper training, as well as pick-up and delivery of tanks and loading feed. Other grain duties include grain handling, performing cleaning and maintenance in the elevator, buildings, and on the grounds, and dumping and loading grain trucks.
