Agworld news
MKC, a leading provider of products, programs and services in grain, agronomy, energy and feed, has entered into a collaboration with Agworld, one of the most popular farm data management platforms in the United States. With risk mitigation and profitability maximization key for everyone involved in the production process, including MKC customers and employees, the need to collect structured data that can be converted in the real-time dashboard is becoming key.

“With digital transformation becoming an even more critical component of the agricultural industry, we were seeking to find a partner to help us adopt a data platform across our business to align with our tagline of “Shared growth. Shared success.” for our member-owners and our cooperative,” says Dave Spears, MKC executive vice president and CMO. “Creating plans, budgets and recommendations for our customers to provide a positive customer experience and for ease of doing business has always been critical to our go-to-market strategy. With our partnership with Agworld, we will now have the ability to pull this information together to help our customer’s budget and forecast field level profitability to help them be more successful.”

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and other factors within the agricultural industry, a digital collaboration between growers and their trusted advisors is becoming increasingly important.  It is with these reasons in mind that MKC decided to adopt the Agworld platform into their organization.

MKC’s footprint is diverse with a presence throughout 24 counties in Kansas, and combined with Mid-West Fertilizer, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MKC, adding 25 locations throughout Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma to their footprint. MKC is focused on integrating the Mid-West Fertilizer team into the MKC family and equipping all staff with the latest technology through the utilization of the Agworld platform.

Agworld President North America Zach Sheely adds, “We’re very pleased that MKC has chosen to adopt the Agworld platform across their organization. Our platform is a great fit for a cooperative such as MKC, and choices like these of their team truly reflect the continued investment by Agworld in our suite of offerings. We have a dedicated team of people based in Colorado and other areas of the U.S., and we all look forward to working with the MKC team to help implement Agworld to ensure a smooth transition for everyone involved. This is a very exciting development for MKC’s farmer customers as well.”

MKC plans to launch Agworld to customers in early 2021.
