MKC Announces 2022 Scholarship Program Recipients

MKC is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2022 MKC Scholarship Program. Ten high school seniors and ten college students have been selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 2022-2023 academic year. Since 2008, close to $200,000 has been awarded through the MKC Scholarship Program.
“The MKC Scholarship Program is just one way MKC can help support exceptional students who soon will enter the workforce to make a difference in the industry and communities,” said Brad Stedman, MKC president and CEO. “We are honored to help these young students financially.”
Students who received the scholarship provided information on their community involvement, extracurricular activities and employment. They also addressed college and career goals along with key aspects of the cooperative system such as how co-ops create a community environment among the local producers and employees.
High school students awarded scholarships are: Hanah Martisko, Inman; Justin Regehr, Valley Christian; Jordan Sylvester, Wamego; Joy Clemence, Abilene; Sadie Bradley, Ell-Saline; Liberty Limon, Hutchinson; Ty Herzog, Little River; Ryan Benfer, Clay Center; Korben Clawson, Meade; Adam Blanchat, Attica.
College students awarded scholarships are: Kara Riffel, Kansas State University; Cayson Lindquist, Fort Scott Community College; Chanae Parker, Kansas State University; Jay Nightingale, Kansas State University; Rachel Scrivener, Missouri State University; Alyvia Johnson, Kansas State University; Lucas Wiens, Hutchinson Community College; Rachel Yenni, Kansas State University; Payton Ginter, Dodge City Community College; Lauren Maurer, Kansas State University.
