MKC merged with Farmers Union Equity headquartered in Lindsborg and included Bavara, Falun and Bridgeport. MKC merged the country elevators from WR Mill based in McPherson. The purchase included elevators in Conway, Elyria, Hilton, McPherson and Windom.
MKC merged with Farmers Grain Cooperative adding locations in Haven and Castleton.
TMA was created to jointly merchandise grain for five cooperatives.

Entered into an agreement with Archer Daniels Midland and Team Marketing, LLC to form Hutchinson Grain Terminal (HGT)
An annual scholarship program was started for high school seniors and included nine awards valued at $500 each. In 2012, MKC expanded the scholarship program to college students. The program now offers awards valued at $1,000 each to ten high school seniors and up to ten additional awards valued at $1,000 to returning college students.
MKC formed a strategic alliance with Great Plains Precision Ag.
MKC entered into an agreement with CHS in March to form a limited liability company (LLC) to build and operate a 3 million bushel high-speed shuttle loading facility in Canton, Kan. The newly formed LLC will become a member of Team Marketing Alliance.
A comprehensive internship program was launched to accelerate the onboarding process of new employees for MKC and its industry partners. In its first year, the program included three interns working for MKC part-time who were also students at Kansas State University.
On March 6, the membership of Farmers Cooperative Association approved a merger with MKC in an overwhelming 91% vote of approval. The merger went into effect on June 1, 2014 and added locations in Alta Vista, Manhattan, Onaga and Westmoreland.
On December 28, MKC loaded its first shuttle at the Canton Grain Terminal. The 109-car train pulled into the facility early Sunday morning. The cars were filled with 400,000 bushels of milo and shipped to the Texas Gulf.

Third annual legislative staff day was held. Four members attended including senator Pat Roberts, senator Jerry Moran and Congressman Tim Huelskamp.
