TMA not accepting Roundup Ready 2 Xtend Soybeans

At this time, Team Marketing Alliance (TMA) is not accepting Roundup Ready 2 Xtend (Dicamba-tolerant) Soybeans at any of its grain facilities.
Dicamba-tolerant soybeans were approved for delivery to China in February 2016, however, they do not have regulatory approval by the European Union. Also, Dicamba herbicide has not been approved for use in soybeans in the United States.
As of today, TMA has been informed by all of our end-users they will not accept these soybeans for the same reasons. This leaves TMA with no viable market in which to sell these soybeans.
Pending approval by all governing bodies in the future, all parties including TMA agree to accept them. Please be aware the approval process includes several governing agencies and approval may not occur before the 2016 harvest.
If you have questions about this policy, please contact Ted Schultz, TMA c at 620-345-4198 chief operating officer, or Devin Schierling, TMA grain marketing manager, at 620-747-0802. TMAwill continue to provide updated information as news is released.
