Accepting Entries for 2018 Co-op Month Coloring Contest

9/27/2018

MKC is once again sponsoring a coloring contest for Kindergarten through 4th grade students as part of National Co-op Month. Held each year during the month of October, Co-op Month provides an opportunity to celebrate the ways in which cooperatives strengthen the economy, support communities and provide much-needed services to co-op members.

Students in Kindergarten through fourth grade are invited to participate in the contest. Entries will be split into five divisions: Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each contestant group.

Area elementary schools received a packet from MKC containing a supply of coloring sheets and information on the cooperative system to use in their classrooms as education tools.

After reviewing the entries, winners will be posted on www.mkcoop.com and featured on MKC’s social media sites. Additional coloring sheets are available at any MKC location or by clicking here. Entries must be postmarked no later than October 22 and are due by October 24, 2018. Entries will be accepted by mail to: MKC, Attn: Coloring Contest, P.O. Box D, Moundridge, KS 67107 or at any MKC location.

Additional information to incorporate into classrooms about cooperatives is available at www.coopmonth.coop.

Please contact Nichole Gouldie, MKC communications and brand manager, at 620-345-4119 or ngouldie@mkcoop.com with any questions.
