LOCAL BENEFITS

Keeping our Rual Communities Strong

At MKC, we are committed to keeping our rural communities strong by giving back with our time, talent and resources. Over the past five years, MKC has invested more than $500,000 in the communities across our footprint. The majority of these investments help develop future leaders of our communities, assist with community safety, alleviate hunger and support ag education.

Each year MKC employees present educational programs to students throughout our trade territory. These programs help teach students about different types of grains, how they are grown and the many products developed from the grains. We also have a presentation on GMOs and the important role they play.

We believe the leadership programs available through 4-H further develop the leadership skills of today’s youth – those same youth who will some day be the future leaders of our communities. To help strengthen these programs, MKC donated to 18 county 4-H leadership development programs this past year including $1,500 to the Sumner County 4-H Leadership Development Fund.

In addition, we are proud to play a role in the Kansas FFA Foundation, community events and festivals, city and county emergency services, and more. Our team is excited to have a presence in Sumner County and the surrounding communities. We have had the wonderful opportunity to meet many of you and we look forward to the opportunity to meet many more.
